Teacher-in-Training (Freckles)
Are you beginning your journey towards a career in Early Childhood Education? Freckles Early Learning Centre is looking for a passionate Teacher in Training to join our warm and welcoming team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in their first year of study or planning to start their Level 7 ECE Bachelor in 2026.
About the Role
This position is a permanent, Full-Time (35–40 hours, Monday–Friday) and based in our Preschool (2-3.5 year olds). You’ll be supported by strong mentors, gaining the skills and knowledge to help you succeed in your studies and grow your career.

What We’re Looking For
- Enrolled (or planning to enrol) in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor
- Passionate about working with infants and toddlers (experience with under 2s preferred)
- Confident with a child-led curriculum and extending children’s learning
- Familiar with Te Whāriki and ECE regulations
- Committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your practice
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to grow your career
