About the Role

Due to increased occupancy, we are looking for a caring and motivated Teacher in Training who is eager to grow their skills in a supportive, nurturing environment.  Our centre is proudly diverse, and what matters most is your willingness to share your own knowledge and learn from others. 

You will work closely with experienced Kaiako, build warm relationships with our under‑2s, and gain valuable hands‑on experience as you study.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine love for teaching and caring for infants and toddlers
  • Strong communication skills and a warm, respectful approach
  • A positive team player who enjoys collaboration
  • An interest in sharing your own experiences and learning from others
  • Reliability, patience, and a passion for early childhood education
  • Currently studying or planning to study towards a Level 7 ECE Bachelor (1st or 2nd year)

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Role Requirements

We are looking for someone who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. You will bring:

  • Enrolment in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor programme
  • A good understanding of child‑led curriculum, planning, and extending children’s learning
  • Knowledge of current ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and a strong regard for compliance
  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your teaching practice
  • A passion for delivering high‑quality teaching and learning
