About the Role:
If you have a passion for teaching young children and are currently enrolled to study in a level 7 ECE programme (ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma), we want to hear from you.
This is a permanent position working 35-40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
At BestStart Petone we have a team of teachers that have passion, pride and a focus of true quality care. You will be working in our Preschool Room, a space dedicated to our 3-5 year old tamariki. In this room, our tamariki explore and discover the world around them. Imaginations are sparked through adventures in our amazing natural environment.

Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
- Experienced in the routines and daily practices within a centre
- Amazing in building genuine and strong relationships with children and families
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
