We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher in Training to join our energetic, experienced nursery team, supporting our under-2 tamariki.

About Us

BestStart Melling is a purpose-built early childhood centre for tamariki aged 3 months to 5 years. We celebrate diversity, strong family connections, and community engagement. About the Role

As a Teacher in Training, you’ll work alongside talented kaiako, gaining hands-on experience while completing your Level 7 ECE qualification (Bachelor or Graduate Diploma). This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week, Mon–Fri). You’ll support tamariki in developing independence, social skills, and confidence while enhancing your own teaching practice.

  • Enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma
