Permanent | 32–40 hours per week | 4–5 days per week
Are you passionate about tamariki and ready to begin your journey toward becoming a qualified early childhood teacher? BestStart Inglewood is looking for a warm, energetic Teacher in Training to join our preschool team while you study toward your qualification.
To be eligible for this role, you must be currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE qualification.
About the Role:
You’ll be working in our preschool classroom with children aged 2.5 to 6 years, supporting a group of up to 38 tamariki. Our team operates within a shared leadership model, where collaboration, respect, and shared responsibility are key. This is a permanent role, working 32 to 40 hours per week across 4 to 5 days – we’re happy to discuss a schedule that suits you.

You’re currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE qualification and bring a genuine love for working with tamariki. You’re a team player with a positive attitude, ready to learn and grow alongside an experienced team.
