About the role:
Are you a passionate Year 1 or 2 ECE student looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and nurturing environment? BestStart Dannemora is seeking a dedicated Teacher-in-Training to join our team.
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday). Some relieving or voluntary experience is preferred, and we're open to candidates eager to work with any age group. If you have experience writing learning stories, that’s a bonus.

What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
- Passion for child-led learning, with the ability to plan and extend on children’s interests
- Strong understanding of ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Dedication to quality teaching and making a real difference in young learners’ lives
