Teacher-in-Training (BestStart Buchanans Road)
Are you currently studying towards a New Zealand recognised Level 7 qualification in Early Childhood Education? Do you have a genuine passion for nurturing young minds and supporting tamariki to thrive? We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher-in-Training to join our warm, inclusive, and supportive teaching team.
We are ideally seeking a second or third-year student who has experience writing learning stories. This is an essential part of the role as you will be actively contributing to our planning and documentation processes.
About the Role:
As a Teacher-in-Training, you will work alongside experienced, qualified kaiako to deliver high-quality care and education to our tamariki. This is a valuable opportunity to apply your learning in a real-world environment, develop your skills, and receive mentoring as you progress in your teaching journey.
This full-time, fixed-term position is approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we are open to discussing flexible arrangements for the right candidate. You will be covering for a Parental Leave, starting in June 2025 - February 2026.
You will be working primarily with our 3 and 4-year-old tamariki, focusing on our "Set for School" programme, which prepares children for their transition to primary school.
