BestStart Tōtara Park is a well-established early learning centre having grown steadily since our opening at the beginning of 2020. We have a talented teaching team committed to providing high quality education and care to our community of learners, and have been recognised within our organisation as innovative in this area. Due to consistently high occupancy, we have an exciting new role for a Kaiako to join our long standing and secure team.

About the Role:
Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. You will be on a rotating roster between 6.45am starts and 6.00pm finishes.
Our environment supports indoor/outdoor flow with large areas built to support the learning and development of every age group. This position can be flexible on the age group you work with depending on where your passion lies!

Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Driven to engage in reflective practice through ones own Professional Growth and centre priorities.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Innovative – striving to enhance sustainable practice
