BestStart Parklands is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Certificated Teacher to join our energetic and tight-knit team.
BestStart Parklands is a friendly, home-like centre where we value parent/whanau involvement and regularly provide social opportunities for you to stay and play. We have recently developed strong relationships with fellow kūra in the community where tuakana teina relationships are being formed, with the older teaching the younger while coming to visit with fun activities.
We are a small, friendly team are qualified and experienced with each teacher bringing their own unique skills to the table. About the Role:
Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you.
This is a permanent position working 35-40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Our successful candidate will be able to do a mix of open and closing shifts throughout the week.
You will be based in our Pukeko Rūma, our busy preschool room which is spacious and allows our young children the freedom to explore and be challenged as we value children’s play and discovery. In the preschool room we have children from 2 years old until school age, which is great as the older children love to help the younger children in the room and the younger children learn so much from their older peers.
Role requirements:
We are wanting a strong, repsectful and creative kaiako who can hit the ground running, and who has a passion for building relationships with our team, our tamariki, our whānau and our community! Our new kaiako will also be passionate about creating and implementing a rich bi-cultural and multicultural curriculum, celebrating all of the diversity we have living in our centre We are also looking for the following:
