Qualified Teacher (BestStart Avondale)
Are you a passionate, fully registered teacher looking for your next opportunity? BestStart Avondale is seeking a dedicated Qualified Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term contract from 1st April 2025 to 29th August 2025.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, committed, and ready to make a real difference in the lives of our tamariki. While some experience is preferable, full teacher registration is essential, and a passion for teaching is a must!
About the Role
As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to a child-led curriculum, supporting and extending children’s learning in a nurturing and stimulating environment. You will be part of a centre that upholds the principles of Te Whāriki and is dedicated to providing high-quality education and care.
Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Have a strong understanding of child-led curriculum, planning, and extending learning experiences
- Demonstrate good knowledge of current ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance
- Show a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
