About the Role
We’re seeking a Head Teacher for the Infants Room at BestStart Taita, someone who leads with empathy, fosters strong relationships, and creates a calm, connected environment for our youngest learners. This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

Your Responsibilities
- Create a secure, nurturing space that supports infant development
- Lead curriculum design, assessment, and intentional care routines
- Build trusting relationships with whānau and kaiako
- Ensure health and safety compliance and high-quality practice
- Support ongoing growth through coaching, reflection, and mentoring
What You’ll Bring
- A Level 7 ECE qualification and current Teaching Certification
- Deep understanding of infant development and caregiving practices
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role
