About the Role
We’re looking for a Head Teacher with strong leadership capabilities, a focus on quality and compliance, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. You'll be confident juggling multiple priorities, motivating a highly qualified team, and upholding the high standards BestStart is known for.

This is a permanent, Full-Time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current full teacher certification
  • Excellent knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance requirements
  • A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculum
  • The ability to lead with clarity, stay calm under pressure, and bring out the best in others
  • Passion and commitment to delivering exceptional learning experiences for tamariki
