BestStart Parkside is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Registered Teacher to join our energetic and close-knit team as our new Head Teacher in our Preschool room.
About the Role
This is a leadership position within our preschool (2–6 years), where you will lead by example through your own teaching practice and guide your team to deliver a well-balanced curriculum responsive to the holistic needs of our tamariki.

BestStart Parkside is located on Hagley Avenue, directly across from Hagley Park and close to Christchurch Hospital. We cater for up to 50 children across two rooms – a nursery and a preschool – within a warm, inclusive, open learning environment.
Our centre is well-established and thriving, with many of our whānau living locally or working nearby, including at the hospital. We have a stable, supportive team that includes a centre cook and experienced, long-serving qualified teachers. We pride ourselves on our positive team culture and collaborative approach to shared responsibilities and centre priorities.
