BestStart Parkside is looking for a passionate, experienced Qualified and Registered Teacher ready to step into a leadership role as Head Teacher in our vibrant Preschool Room. Working with a mixed-age group (2–5 years), you’ll lead a dynamic and supportive team, guiding meaningful learning experiences and creating a nurturing, play-based environment for our tamariki.

About the Role:

  • Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday) 
  • Lead the Preschool Room (ages 2–5) 
  • Inspire, mentor, and grow your team of Kaiako 
  • Support programme planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery 
  • Build strong partnerships with whānau and uphold compliance

What We’re Looking For:

  • A natural leader who’s confident, reflective, and collaborative 
  • BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and a current Teaching Certificate 
  • Strong understanding of Te Whāriki, compliance, and curriculum 
  • A passion for high-quality, culturally responsive learning
