BestStart Howick is a small, family-centered centre focused on building strong relationships with tamariki, their whānau, and our team. We provide a beautiful outdoor environment, celebrate diversity, and foster learning through play and community connections. Our ‘Set for School’ programme prepares preschoolers for a smooth transition to primary school.
We’re seeking a collaborative Head Teacher who values bicultural and multicultural practices, promotes great learning outcomes, and communicates openly to build strong relationships.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.
Role Requirements:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration.
- Strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy, and curriculum.
- Knowledge of ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki, and a commitment to compliance.
- Passion for delivering quality teaching and learning.
