About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a purpose-built, Reggio Emilia-inspired centre nestled in the heart of Kumeu-Huapai. At BestStart Oraha, we spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through child-led discovery and a rich, nurturing environment.
You’ll be joining a fun-loving, reflective, and well-established team committed to professional growth, building strong relationships with tamariki and whānau, and delivering exceptional care and education every day.
This is a fixed term contract working 40 hours per week until the 19th Dec 25.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Bubbly, passionate, and genuinely dedicated to early learning.
- Ambitious and committed to making a real difference in children's lives.
- Flexible, open-minded, and deeply familiar with child-led learning approaches.
- Knowledgeable (or eager to learn more) about the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
- Confident in building meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau.
- Reflective, growth-minded, and open to feedback.
What You’ll Need:
- A BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification.
- A strong understanding of Te Whāriki and commitment to a high-quality, child-led curriculum.
- Sound knowledge of ECE regulations and compliance.
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice.
