BestStart Pukuatua is on the lookout for a passionate and qualified ECE Teacher to join our long-standing, experienced team for a fixed-term parental leave cover through to December 2025.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), working across all age groups up to five years old. Whether you’re an experienced educator or a newly graduated teacher excited to begin your ECE journey, we’d love to hear from you.
We are located close to the Rotorua CBD, making us a convenient choice for teachers looking to work in a well-connected part of the city. Our centre is licensed for 112 tamariki and thoughtfully designed into four age-appropriate learning spaces. Each area is tailored to support independence and child-led learning, where tamariki are empowered to lead their own learning journeys with teachers as their guides.

What We’re Looking For
- A qualified and registered ECE Teacher (Level 7 qualification)
- Someone who is passionate about child-led, play-based learning
- Knowledge of Te Whāriki and current ECE regulations
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- An enthusiastic, caring and collaborative team player
