ECE Head Teacher (BestStart Maunu Village)
About the Role:

At BestStart Maunu Village, we have two amazing Head teacher roles, we searching for a Head Teacher Extraordinaire to lead a group of 20 energetic and curious two-year-olds on their educational journey. We also have a Head Teacher role leading our small team in our Preschool room of 20 children, we are looking for someone who has a passion for Set for School and preparing children for their School journey .
We're seeking someone with a passion for early childhood education and development, coupled with creativity to ignite curiosity and imagination in our little learners. Patience and understanding are key traits to navigate the world of toddlers, while a team player mentality is essential for collaborating with kaiako and parents.
With a new BestStart center opening nearby and our current head teacher transitioning to support it, this presents an exciting opportunity to join our close-knit team, our centre spans across two buildings and you will be leading a team of two in our vibrant learning environment.
This is a permanent full time position of 40 hours Monday-Friday (Toddlers role)
This is a permanent full time position of 36-40 hours Monday-Friday, 3 x 8 hr days and 2 x 6 hr days (Preschool role)

Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
