About the Role:
Are you an experienced Head Teacher—or an enthusiastic educator ready to take the next step in your teaching journey? BestStart Karaka is on the lookout for a passionate leader to guide our vibrant 2-year-old room. As Head Teacher of our Toddlers Room, you’ll lead a team dedicated to nurturing and inspiring our tamariki. You’ll bring energy, leadership, and a deep understanding of early childhood development to create a space where children thrive and teachers shine.
Nestled in a stunning location with five age-specific classrooms and a newly upgraded outdoor space, our centre is more than just a place to work—it's a community. We’re proud of our strong whānau connections and our fun-loving, supportive teaching team.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor of Education (ECE or Primary) or Level 7 Diploma in Teaching
- Current Full Teacher Registration
- Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, programme planning, and pedagogy
- A nurturing, warm personality and a passion for quality teaching and learning
