ECE Cook (BestStart Shelly Bay Rd)
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative cook to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for children under five at BestStart Shelly Bay Road. You will work in a well-equipped, air-conditioned kitchen separate from the classrooms, with modern appliances and a supportive, collaborative environment centered around teamwork and kindness.
You’ll have the opportunity to bring your creativity to our meal planning, ensuring our children’s nutritional needs are met while producing meals that are both healthy and appealing. You will plan weekly menus in line with our Bronze Healthy Heart status, manage online shopping and budgets, and work independently to maintain high standards of hygiene and quality.
This is a permanent part-time position, 30 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:00pm),
Role Requirements:
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety, and high hygiene standards
- Passion for cooking and baking for children
- Understanding of allergies and dietary needs
- Computer literacy for menu planning and online ordering
- Budget management skills for food ordering
- Passion for promoting healthy eating and creativity in meals
