About the Role
Are you passionate about creating nutritious meals and making a difference in the lives of young children? BestStart Ascot Ave is looking for a dedicated Centre Cook to join our vibrant team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves cooking and thrives in a supportive, team-focused environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing healthy, culturally diverse meals for up to 50 children, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. Your role will also include managing weekly food orders within a generous budget and maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety.
Fixed Term | 20 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm | Until 27 February 2026
We’re looking for someone who is organised, independent, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for promoting healthy eating in early childhood.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety practices
- Passion for cooking and baking
- Understanding of allergies and dietary needs
- Confidence using a computer to design menus and place orders
- Ability to manage food budgets effectively
