About the Role:

We are looking for an exceptional, well-organised, and approachable Centre Administrator to join our warm, welcoming, and fun-loving team at BestStart Oraha Road. This fixed-term role is vital to the smooth running and success of our centre, supporting our team to deliver high-quality care and education while ensuring compliance with Ministry of Education requirements.

No two days are the same in this role! You’ll be the friendly face and key contact for our whānau, providing outstanding customer service while managing bookings, data entry, parent enquiries, and centre administration. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate parent accounts, processing direct debits and payments, and meeting daily, weekly, and term deadlines - so strong organisation and attention to detail are essential.

You’ll work closely with the Centre Manager as their right-hand support and occasionally have opportunities to interact with our tamariki. Confidence with IT systems, particularly Word and Excel, will help you thrive in this role.

You’ll also be supported by BestStart’s National Admin Support Team, including access to a helpdesk, strong procedures, training, and a comprehensive induction to set you up for success.

This is a fixed term position working 30 hours per week Monday - Friday (23/3/26 to 26/3/27)
