ECE Caregiver (Seymour Rd Kindy)
About the Role
Are you passionate about working with young children and making a real difference every day? BestStart Seymour Road Kindy is looking for a warm, reliable, and motivated Caregiver to join our close-knit team.
As a Caregiver at BestStart, you will have the incredible opportunity to positively impact the lives of young children by providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. We believe in fostering a love for learning, creativity, and exploration in our tamariki.
Reporting to our Centre Manager and working alongside a dedicated team of teachers, you will contribute to providing high-quality care and education while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the centre.
This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing amazing care and education to our tamariki
- Building strong, respectful relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues
- Supporting learning through engaging activities that empower and extend tamariki
- Participating across all classrooms and covering staff breaks where required
- Assisting with centre operations and contributing positively to team culture
- Completing basic documentation requirements
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in Early Childhood Education
- Is confident developing strong, positive relationships
- Is driven, flexible, reliable, and easy-going
- Is a supportive team player with a positive attitude
- Has experience working with children under five
- Can take direction while also using initiative
An ECE qualification is not required for this role; however, experience in ECE and a natural affinity with young children is essential.
