BestStart Oamaru Kindy is currently seeking a passionate Caregiver to join our energetic and supportive team, committed to delivering excellent care and education to the children in our community.
Our centre is located in a beautifully converted villa, creating a warm and homely environment for children and their families. With a large, sheltered, and private playground, we offer children a safe space to explore and play. Guided by our centre vision, "Learning as we play, growing as we learn together," we focus on fostering social skills and learning through play. We are a collaborative team in a small 35-license centre, celebrating each team member’s strengths and passions to create meaningful learning experiences.

About the Role
Permanant, Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Centre Manager and working closely within a dedicated teaching team, you will help deliver high-quality care and education. You will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, encouraging a love for learning, creativity, and exploration.
Daily responsibilities include providing care and learning experiences, covering staff breaks, supporting centre routines across all classrooms, and contributing fully to centre activities.
About You
- Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young children.
- Experience working with children under five, especially infants and toddlers.
- A formal ECE qualification is not required, but a natural affinity with children is essential.
- Energetic, fun-loving, and a strong team player.
- Shows initiative, adaptability, and the ability to follow direction.
