About the Role
You will be based in our Kiwi Room (3.5–5 years), supporting tamariki as they prepare for their transition to school. This learning environment focuses on building independence, concentration, and a love of learning, aligned with our learning priority of te rangatiratanga, recognising and valuing one’s own ability to learn.
Working alongside our teaching team, you will support children to explore early literacy, numeracy, science, culture, and practical life skills through our integrated Montessori curriculum.
This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
Your Day-to-Day
- Provide nurturing, high-quality care and education for tamariki
- Support meaningful learning experiences that empower children
- Contribute positively to a collaborative team culture
- Assist across the centre and cover breaks when needed
- Support centre operations and daily routines
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need a formal ECE qualification for this role—what matters most is your natural affinity with children, particularly those under five, and your commitment to making a positive difference. You’ll bring initiative, teamwork, and a willingness to learn, while taking guidance from others with confidence and care.
