ECE Caregiver (BestStart Montessori Mosgiel)
BestStart Montessori Mosgiel is seeking a caring, dedicated Caregiver to join our passionate and close-knit team. As the only Montessori early learning centre in the Taieri area, we are proud to uphold Maria Montessori’s values, supporting tamariki to explore their environment, develop independence, and build meaningful relationships.

About the Role:
As a Caregiver, you will provide warm, responsive care to our youngest tamariki in a nurturing, respectful and engaging environment. You’ll be an important part of the team, supporting children’s development and helping maintain a calm, well-organised space guided by Montessori principles.
You will:
- Build secure relationships with tamariki and whānau
- Support learning and care routines with enthusiasm and consistency
- Work collaboratively with the team, helping cover breaks and supporting all age groups as needed
- Contribute to the daily rhythm of the centre and the wider learning environment
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children under five (especially infants and toddlers)
- A calm, nurturing nature and the ability to connect with young children
- A high level of initiative and willingness to work as part of a team
- An ECE qualification is not required for this role
