ECE Caregiver (BestStart Huntsbury)
BestStart Huntsbury is looking for a passionate and nurturing Caregiver to join our energetic, close-knit team. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for the children in our community, and we’re seeking someone who shares our love of early learning.

About the Role
This is a fixed-term position covering parental leave from July 2026 to June 2027, working 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday. We’re happy to discuss options to suit the right candidate.
As a Caregiver in our nursery, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our youngest tamariki. You’ll work closely with our teaching team to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Providing high-quality care and education to our tamariki
- Supporting and extending children’s learning through meaningful interactions and activities
- Contributing to a positive team culture and collaborative environment
- Participating across all areas of the centre, including covering breaks when needed
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for working with infants and toddlers
- Has experience working with children under five
- Brings warmth, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach
- Works well in a team and can take direction when needed
- Shows initiative and a willingness to learn and grow
An ECE qualification is not required for this role.
