BestStart Cornwall Street is seeking a passionate Caregiver to join our friendly, close-knit team. Conveniently located near Queensgate Mall and public transport, our centre provides a warm, engaging environment where tamariki learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.
About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday) in our Kainga Waka room (1–3 year olds).
As a Caregiver, you will:
- Provide nurturing care and support for tamariki
- Encourage learning through play and everyday experiences
- Build positive relationships with children, whānau, and your team
- Support centre activities and daily operations
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children under five
- Has a natural affinity for infants and toddlers
- Is enthusiastic, reliable, and a strong team player
- Is committed to making a positive difference in children's lives
An ECE qualification is not required.
