BestStart Wooing Tree in Cromwell is seeking a passionate and dedicated Centre Manager to help open our new centre in March 2025!

The centre will provide quality education and care for children aged between 3 months to 5 years old.  Our indoor spaces are built to support the learning and development of every age group – Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers. Each room will be equipped with high quality, focused resources designed to spark curious minds. We'll have a fantastic outdoor where children can challenge themselves on the playground equipment while building their independence and self-confidence.

About the Role: 

As a high-impact leader, reporting to an Area Manager, you will be passionate about delivering amazing learning outcomes for our children and you'll take pride in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre! This role is best suited for someone with a passion and drive in setting up a new team and Centre. You will be flexible, and the ability to establish relationships with a strong pedagogical experience.  

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday  

Situated in the Wooing Tree Estate, our beautiful, purpose-built centre will be licensed for 80 tamariki and will feature four thoughtfully designed classrooms, including two specifically for under 2-year-old tamariki. 

Role requirements:  

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:  

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current Teacher Certification  
  • Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and curriculum  
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard  
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices  
  • You’ll be known for being a great coach, who can unlock the potential of others  
  • Have proven leadership experience
  • You are an innovator, both in input and output – being part of simplifying the way we do things excites you!
