About the Role:

BestStart Weymouth is seeking a passionate and experienced Centre Manager to lead our vibrant, multicultural team in the heart of Manurewa. We are an early learning centre dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and education for our children. Our passionate and long-standing teachers foster confident learners, equipping them for a lifelong journey of discovery and growth.

As Centre Manager, you will bring experience in leading high-performing teams and a commitment to working alongside your team to create an exceptional centre environment. With a strong focus on compliance, high-quality education, and leadership development, you will inspire and support your team to achieve their best. 

At BestStart Weymouth, we provide award-winning childcare and high-quality early education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. If you’re an enthusiastic leader ready to make a difference in the lives of children and their families, we’d love to have you join our energetic and tight-knit team!

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday

Role requirements:

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher certification
  • Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and curriculum
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • You’ll be known for being a great coach, who can unlock the potential of others, you will have previous leadership experience
  • You are an innovator, both in input and output – being part of simplifying the way we do things excites you!
