About Us:
Nestled in Hobsonville, Auckland, our purpose-built centre combines the rich history of the original Hobsonville Kindergarten building, now lovingly restored, with a new modern wing designed to provide the ideal environment for early childhood education. While enrolment numbers may be limited due to high demand, we are excited to offer a nurturing space where children can grow, explore, and thrive.
This is a permanent fulltime position working 40 hours per week.
About the Role:
As our centre Cook, you’ll play a vital part in the daily life of our centre by preparing fresh, wholesome meals that fuel children’s growth and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and preparing nutritious, varied menus
- Catering to a range of dietary requirements and allergies
- Managing food orders and stock within budget
- Upholding top hygiene and food safety standards
- Supporting the overall wellbeing of the children through healthy eating
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for healthy cooking and baking
- Understanding of food safety, allergies, and nutritional needs
- Basic computer skills for menu planning and ordering
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a love of working around children
