About the Role
As our Centre Administrator, you’ll be an important part of the day-to-day running of our centre, helping create a welcoming experience for children, whānau and visitors.
This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll support the centre with administration and customer service, including data entry, managing bookings, responding to parent queries, supporting new and enquiring families, and maintaining accurate parent accounts, payments and direct debits.
With daily, weekly and termly deadlines to manage, you’ll be someone who is organised, efficient and has great attention to detail. You’ll also have the opportunity from time to time to spend time alongside our tamariki.
You won’t be doing it alone. Our National Admin Support team provides ongoing help and guidance, and you’ll receive thorough induction and training around BestStart processes and Ministry of Education requirements.
This is a permanent position working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings warmth, organisation and a can-do attitude to the role. You’ll ideally have:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A warm and compassionate approach to whānau
- Good general knowledge of accounts and resolving customer account queries
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently
- Confidence using Excel, Word and Outlook
- Fantastic customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile
