Caregiver (BestStart Beach Haven)
About the Role:
Are you passionate about working with children aged 2-5 years old? We’re looking for a dedicated caregiver to join our team at BestStart Beach Haven! As we expand our purpose-built center and prepare to open our 5th room, we’re seeking someone eager to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our tamariki.
We prioritise nurturing our tamariki, guided by our philosophy of Manaaki – to care and nurture. You’ll be part of a supportive team that creates enriching learning experiences for young children. Our new, purpose-built environment offers the perfect setting for growth and learning, where you’ll be empowered to positively impact tamariki every day.
Here’s what you’ll do on a day-to-day basis:
- Provide exceptional care and education to our tamariki
- Promote a team spirit and engage in activities that extend tamariki’s learning
- Fully participate in center activities across all classrooms and cover staff breaks where necessary
- Support center operations at all levels
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Role requirements: While an ECE qualification is not required, you should have a natural affinity with children, especially infants and toddlers. Experience working with children under five is a must, and you’ll need a high level of initiative and the ability to take direction from others.
