Calling all tamariki-loving legends in Waiuku and the wider Franklin region – we’re on the hunt for energetic, reliable, and caring Reliever Caregivers (Unqualified Teachers too!) to jump in and make a real difference in our BestStart centres.
At BestStart, we’re not just New Zealand’s largest provider of early childhood education – we’re a passionate bunch who believe in helping every child shine. Our centres are vibrant little communities, and we need you to help keep them running smoothly when our regular team needs a breather.
What does a Reliever do?
You’ll step into our centres when someone’s off sick, on leave, or on study days. You’ll laugh, play, care, support – and go home knowing you’ve made a positive impact on a little person's day.
No formal ECE qualifications are required—this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and explore a rewarding career in early childhood education!

- Energy and a positive, can-do attitude
- A respectful and kind heart (our children deserve nothing less!)
- You must be eligible to work in NZ
- 2x Manager references
